Especial attention is called to the fact that this fund cannot be used for the erection of buildings or the purchase of apparatus; this must be done by the district in which the school is located. A t the present time, Forest Grove and Hillsboro have each a four year accredited high school, but there should be several more in the county, as Cornelius, Gas ton, Dilley, Banks and other dis tricts are all doing high school work and would therefore b e greatly benefited by the adop tion o f this measure. Too much cannot be done to further the cause of education, and the passage of the “ High School Fund” bill at the Novem ber elections will mean a higher standard o f citizenship, with a consequent greater and better Washington county in the future.
