Kansas City H a z e lw o o d T a lk s ¡infinite Pains In M anufacture When considering what kind of a land separator to endorse and pan die for our patrons, we visited the factory where the U. S. ma chine is made. We already knew Ithe machine was giving better re sults on the farm than any other, but V isi fed we wanted to be doubly sure of what The we were doing be fore inducing our F a cto ry patrons to buy it. We knew the ma chine seemed to wear even better than any other piece of machinery, but we were not prepared for what we saw as to the infinite pains taken to get each part of each ma chine exactly right before allowing it to be used. Every piece of steel was tem pered to the exact degree of hard ness best suited for wear. Nothing with a flaw or defect was permitted to be used, every part was inspected and re-inspected. In fact, every precau tion was taken ' to E v e r y th :n§ insure perfection. was Then each machine was tested thor Perfect oughly before it was allowed to leave the factory. From the president of the company, Mr. Williams, down to the humblest employee, everybody seemed to be intent on seeing that each separator was exactly right. Nothing of a shiftless or careless character was tolerated. A detailed description of the sep arator, with its points of excellence, is presented in the catalogue of the Vermont Farm Machine Co. It gives us a great deal of pleasure to say that our experience and the experience of our patrons with the U. S. shows that the claims made in ' the catalogue are lived up to by the machine. We will mail free of cost a copy of the U. S. catalogue, and also a copy of the well known pamphlet on “ The Value of Skim Milk” to any reader who fills out the follow ing inquiry blank. ’Varsity Locals j> 5 f Miss Famham spent Saturday of last Quite a frost this week.
