The first tug between Hillsboro and Cornelius lodges was won by the for mer, the second tug between Glencoe and Forest Grove was won by the latter and the final tug between the winners was won by the Grove. The trick bicy cle riding by Mr. Shaver, of Salem, showed what can be done by an expert on this useful machine. The bicycle races attracted much at tention. In the closely contested half- mile race Harvey Baldwin won by half a length. The hundred yard slow race was won by Clyde Harris. The two mile lap race was a tie between Harvey and Oscar Baldwin each scoring nine points. The ring, trapeze and bar performance by Harris, Boos, Gleason and L. C. Greer as clown elicited enthusiastic ap plause. In the evening there was a monster clambake followed by a hop in Verts hall which proved the most successful of the season.
