Viola Happenings

Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Gerber
called their daughters
from
Vienna, Austria, last week.Re­
ceived a card from them to­
day from Italy. From Vienna
they traveled to
Salsbury,
then to Omis, Austria thru the
Brenner pass to Italy where
they took a boat thru the can­
al to Venice. Stayed in Rome
two days. There they hired a
guide and did a lot of driving
in the
Volks Wagon
they
bought in England. They vis­
ited many churches,
castles
and ancient ruins. They trav­
eled on some of the old
Ro­
man roads made
of cobble
stones. From Rome they went
to Florence and to Monte Car­
lo.
They say they have had
fine food and good roads
on
their travels. They like Italy
the best so far. but say there
is no place like home, or the
U. S. A.
