From Vienna they traveled to Salsbury, then to Omis, Austria thru the Brenner pass to Italy where they took a boat thru the can­ al to Venice. Stayed in Rome two days. There they hired a guide and did a lot of driving in the Volks Wagon they bought in England. They vis­ ited many churches, castles and ancient ruins. They trav­ eled on some of the old Ro­ man roads made of cobble stones. From Rome they went to Florence and to Monte Car­ lo. They say they have had fine food and good roads on their travels.
