The law effective July l, calls for a license on all scales with a capacity of more than COO pounds, it provides a license fee of $1.50 a year for scales of 600 to 3000 pounds and $5 for all scales over 3000 pounds. The license year ends on June 30. The $5 fee applies to wagon scales, truck scales, coal scales, dump scales, grain scales and state, city or county owned load weight checking scales of capacity of 3000 pounds or more. Funds will be applied toward the de- p rtments heavy dutj scales testing operations but will not cover this.
