T his-ar rangem ent will afford the candidates access to the box each day from 8 a. m. until l i p . m., through the courtesy of Mr. M archbank. The list of votes published in this issue will rem ain unchanged to th e end except in case of correction of any erro r th at m ay exist. By so doing, no one, not even the publishers or cam paign m anage m ent, can possibly know the voting streng th of the respective can didates, which precludes the possibility of favoritism and insures fairness to th e m inutest degree. Locked and sealed, the ballot box has been placed in Bob March- B ank’s C onfectionery Store, in E stacada, w here it is available to candidates during business hours. It will be closed prom ptly a t 9 p. m., S aturday, April 6. W hen the final hour arrives, the cam paign will be declared closed. The judges will break the seals, unlock the box and im m ediately th erea fte r, or as soon as the votes can be issued on the subscriptions there, the last count will begin. The w inners will be determ ined by m erely adding the published to tals which appear fo r the last tim e in to d ay ’s issue of The C lackam as C ounty News, to reserve votes and those contained in the ballot box. T here will be no w aiting, no com plicated counting, b u t sim ply a m atter of adding vote totals and an nouncing the w inners. E very candidate is urged to com pare his or her to tals with the rec ords of The News. If The News record is not absolutely correct, ac cording to your figures and records, notify the cam paign m anager im m ediately, so th at proper corrections can be m ade before Friday evening, April 5. Failure to verify your account before Friday evening will be considered as form al notice of your acceptance of y ou r count as recorded. A ny candidate who does not verify and atte st to the correctness of his or her count by Friday evening will be considered as having given notice to the cam paign judges and The News office o f w illing ness to accept The News records as th e basis o f the final count.
