She leaves to mourn her loss, one daughter, Mrs. Florence Bard, and seven sons, Preston, Wiley, George, BYank. Cal, Harry and Archie. Mrs. Will Douglass was a Gresham visitor on Tuesday. Glenn Douglass, after an ab sence of two years or more, came home on Monday. Mrs. Paddison and Miss Naomi Paddison were Portland visitors the other day. Perrv Murphy is on the sick list—he came down with the measles Sunday. SCHOOL MEETING I The school meeting last Tues day night had a record atten dance as the whole auditorium was almost completely filled. Its atmosphere was warm literally and metaphorically. County Superintendent Ved- der came over from Oregon City, although sick, to explain the fi nancial situation as his figures were in dispute.
