Miss Miller and her scholars will try to make it a pleasant evening for all who will come. Will Hicinbothem, who broke his leg three months ago. is still on his bed. He is at ¿the Good Samaritan hospital in Portland at present, under the care of Dr. Aiken. Mrs. Hicinbothem has a room rented near the hospital so as to be near him. She has her little daughter Esther with her. Charlie Collard and family left a few days ago, to go to Califor nia to make their home. Miss Beulah Hicinbothem is staying with her uncle and aunt, Charles and Clara Hicinbothejn, while attending the Estacada high school, and her sister Mil dred is staying with her grand parents, James Sevier and wife. She is attending the Viola school. GARFIELD BREVITIES An epidemic of colds and sore throats has been holding forth in Garfield for the past two weeks but is rapidly disappearing. W. L. Shriner, who has been confined to his home with rheu matism, is able to be about again. Earl F. Gunter was aTMonday visitor in Garfield. Mrs. O. E.
