EASTERN CLACKAMAS NEWS, THURSDAY, OCTOBER 5,-1922. BARTON ITEMS Rev, and Mrs. Collard and Mr. and Mrs. Gus Whitehead were the dinner guests at the Jens Pedersen home Sunday. Miss Bodway is teaching the school term here this year and making her home with Mr. and Mrs. George Turner. George Forman, George Turn: er and Mr. Christensen all filled their silos recently. Mr. and Mrs. S. P. Pesznecker from Estacada stopped for din ner at the Forman home Friday, being on their wav to their new home at Vancouver, Wash. Mr, and Mrs. Forman regret to see them leave Estacada but hope it is for the best. Frank Forman and Pauline Zogg, who were married recently is a brother to George Forman and was a former resident of Barton where he grew to man hood and gained bis education in the Barton schools. About 18 years ago he took up a home stead at Antelope where he has since resided. Mrs. George Forman is not in very good health yet. Some Cabbage 1). M. HIGH SCHOOL NOTES I i * Class meetings have been very popular this week on account of the individual classes preparing for the football rally, Wednesday evening. The high school stu dents appreciate the enthusiasm shown by the townspeople. The E. H. S. football boys will journey to Hillsboro, Friday Oc tober 6th, to meet the h i g h school team of that city. Are you going to go and root for our team? They have been faithful ly practicing and deserve your support. The high school registration up to date is one hundred and fourteen. There will be only two days of school next week (Monday and Tuesday) as the County Institute will be held the last of the week at Oregon City.
