DODGE Preparations are being made for the next Community club meeting, which promises to be a very enjoyoble affair. Don’t forget the date, Aug, 6. Harry Morton and wife of Welches, visited the Keller*home on Sunday. Their daughter, who had , been spending a week at Dodge, accompanied them home. On Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Wat son and family of Viola, visited with Fred Horner and family. They spoke highly of the new school house and other improve ments which have been made since their last visit. The Boy Scouts went back to Portland on Saturday, after a healthful time spent in the woods at and around Hillock- burn. They sure were a jolly bunch as they rode away in the big truck sent out to get them. Miss Rosa B. Ten Eyck paid a short visit to Dodge on Monday, after spending nearly two weeks in camp at Gladstone Chautau qua where she enjoyed a very pleasant and profitable holiday. She speaks very highly of the chautauqua because of the op portunities presented for socia bility, entertainment and in struction. She returned to Mar mot on Tuesday to spend a fur ther period with her parents. ELYVOOD ITEMS Miss Eula Park is working in Portland. Harry Bittner and family have moved to Portland where Mr. Bittner is receiving medical treatment, Miss Rachel Cadonau, of the Good Samaritan hospital, Port land, is spending her vacation with her sister Mrs. Lily Park. A surprise birthday party was given at the Stahlnecker home Saturday night in honor of Mrs. Stahlnecker’s birthday. A pleas ant evening was passed with lunch at midnight. Mr. and Miss Will Henderson and daughter, Mrs, Leola Steh- man with her husband and baby Elmer, motored out from Oregon City Sunday to visit Mr. Hen derson’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Henderson, and sister Mrs. L. N. Valle». Mrs. Lula Dories and little daughters, Esther and Helen Mae, spent last week at the Val- len home. Capt. Harold Dories is with the schooner "Thistle” on a trip to Australia, which will require about eight months. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Vallen ac companied her home in Portland. BISSELL ITEMS Mrs. John Marshall is on the sick list this week. Ed Harders and Mr. and Mrs. Julius Paulsen motered to Port land last Thursday. Ted Harders and wife were transacting business in Oregon City, last Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. H. Klinker and mother visited Mr. and Mrs. Peter Paulsen last Sunday. Miss Nadene Anders of Gar field, was the guest of Mrs. L. YVeisenfluh Saturday night and Sunday. Bertha Crowder and Dorothy Kroner of Portland, were week end guests o f the latter’s grand mother, Mrs. C. Lins o f George. Mrs. Ralph Richardson and children of Echo, Ore., visited Mrs. Richards’ sister. Mrs. Juli us Paulsen, of George, for a few days last week. I treat both unite and chronic cares.
