FINCH SELLS HIS HARDWARE STORE Last Thursday, a deal was con summated whereby the old estab lished hardware business of Bert H. Finch changed hands. The new owner is Harry H. This news will be received with feelings of regret on the part of this community, as Mr. Finch has earned for himself a host of friends in a business and social way. lie came to Estacada in 1913, buying out McCurdy & Son. By hard work and close attention and courteous treatment, he built up a large patronange, but the confinement has told on him, and he feels he is entitled to an ex tended vacation. Next month, with his family, he expects to tour Southern California in his car, remaining some months. His many friends will wish him and his, the very best of a time, and join in the hope that their future lot will fall in pleasant places. Mr. Smith is an efficient busi ness man, having had-a wide ex perience along business lines. He is spoken of very highly by all who know him, and will un doubtedly make a host of friends here also. Estacada is very for tunate in securing such a man to fill one of the important busi nesses in this community. Mr. Smith is a married man with wife and one child, who later on will join him here, and no doubt will prove an acquisi tion to the social circles of the town. . Community Club Prof. E. B. Fitts of the O. A. C., well known for his work in the Animal Husbandry depart ment, will be present at the meeting of the Community Club Friday evening of next week, to deliver an address.
