Stephens went to Portland last Friday to attend the annual Christmas party given by the Portland State Bank at the Benson hotel. After a seven-course banquet served to the directors, officers, stockhold ers and emploves of the bank, there was speaking, music, etc. Leroy D. Walker is president of the Portland State Bank as also of the Estacada State Bank. The local order of United Ar tisans led off in the holiday fes tivities by having a Christmas party after their regular meeting last Wednesday night. There was a short program and a tree for .the children, who were de lighted by the appearance of old Santa Claus. A sumptuous re past followed and a general good time was enjoyed by all.
