M. there is a daylight S J i r i n e Parade. This parade will probably last three hours and. will be one o f the largest parades o f the week. In the afternoon of the 22nd at 1:30 P. M. t h e lightweight championship c o n t e s t of the world at the baseball grounds will be held. In t h e evening there will be an electric parade in which the Shrine has spent $30,000 in building new floats. This will be one o f the most gor geous affairs that has been given in the West. During the day from 10 A. M. till 11 P. M. 75 bands will be playing at different places in the city at convenient band stands o r placed on the street corners. On June 23rd will be band con certs and the night Shrine Par ade, starting at 8: P. M. This will be one o f the largest parades to occur luring the week and in which the various patrols and Arabian horses brought here for the occasion w i l l participate. This will also be the big day at the Oaks Park. Thursday, the 24th, will be the rose decorated vehicle parade oc- curing at 3 P. M. Massed band concerts o f 65 bands at Multno mah Field and exhibition drills by the various patrols at the ^ame field. On Friday, the 25th, the clos ing day o f the Rose Show and a duplication o f the electric parade o f Tuesday night. , We are ai ranging to provide additional cars for our regular service to and including Gresham and beyond Gresham to and in- cludin ■ Estacada and Bull Run we are providing extra trains as follows: During the entire week the 6:45 train leaving Portland will run through to Estacada. On Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday nights after the parades at 11 and 11:30. The l i o ’clock train will run through to Esta cada and on Thursday after the parade at 5:5b P. M. a train will run through to Bull Run. All vehicular traffic will be barred from the down town dis trict after 10 A. M. every day during t h e entire week. The congestion over the various brid ges will be heavier than ever ex perienced- in the history o f Port land and the Police Department and Shrine Committee are ask ing that all persons patronize the railway companies and d o not bring their machines into the center o f the city.
