Schminky made a business trip to Portland Friday. Mr. Pilgrim has been sawing wood for C. E. Seward with his gasoline wood saw. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Kitzmill- er were calling on Mr. Young’s family Sunday. H. Develin commenced work for Clutch & Surface at the Vic tory mill Monday, Edward Stauber and Ralph DeShazer were Oregon City vis itors last week. Mrs. Charles Updegrave has been having dental work done in Sandy recently. UPPER EAGLE CREEK Last Saturday the Eagle Creek Grange held its regular session with about 25 patrons present. Installation of officers took place. W. E. McConnell, assisted by Edwin Bates, officiating. The following officers were installed: Millard Trullinger, Master; C. L, Chambers, lecturer; .1. I'. Stein- man, steward; Walter Douglass, assistant steward; Mrs. Frances Yount, chaplain; H. H. Hoff- meister, treasurer; Linnie V. Gibson, secretary; E. L. Trullin ger, gate-keeper; Mrs. Louise Douglass, Ceres; Mrs. Maggie Baker, Pomona; Mrs. Mary Hei- ple, Flora; Miss Myrtle Hoffmeis- ter, lady assistant steward. Mr. and Mrs. W. Ingwood are new Grange members. Little Leslie Woodle had his tonsils removed on Sunday; also little Raymond Platt. They are getting along quite nicely. Mr. and Mrs. .John Parks and Miss Agnes Udell were the Sun day dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. R. B. Gibson. Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Woodle were Portland visitors last week calling on their son Joe. Will Douglass made a trip to Portland one day last week. Mrs. Viola Douglass, daughter Bina, Mrs. Pearl Reed and daughter Helen were out this way Sunday calling on relatives and friends.
