School superintendent Burns has his son from Boardman, Or., visiting him for the holidays. VVe regret to hear that J. W. Moxley is very ill and his friends are much alarmed about his con dition. Mrs. Marshall, sister of Mrs. C. S. Allen, arrived from Port land Tuesday and will Spend Christmas here. Miss Marian Dunlop is spend ing her Christmas vacation* at home with her parents, the Rev. J. F. and Mrs. Dunlop. Mr. and Mrs. P. S. Standish of Newburg, were week-end guests at the home of Mrs. Stan- dish’s brother, R. C. Deming. EASTERN C L A C K A M A S N E W S Harry Reid spent three or four days iu Portland last week. Phil Marquam left Tuesday morning for Portland, where he will visit relatixes during* the week. C. A. Jacques of Upper Car- field, reports some damage to his apples and potatoes from the freeze. Mr. and Mrs. R. D. Starr of Portland, are.staying over Christ mas with Mr. and Mrs. B. 0. Sarver, the parents of the latter. Mr. and Mrs. Hal Hillman of Walla Walla, Wash., arrived on Wednesday to spend Christmas with Mr. and Mrs. J. C* Hillman. Mr. and Mrs. James Norris came up Monday from Dwyer’s camp. The snow stopped opera tions and so the mill was closed until after the new year. Hours of Sunrise and Sunset f Mejor Heylman son of Post master and Mrs. W. A, Heylman, has arrived home. His service record overseas was most dis tinguished. From the Oregonian we learn that the Bartletts have arrived in Pasadena, and visited the park where their son Ken is practi cing for the big football game on Newr Year’s Day between Har vard and the U. of Oregon. The Saturday exodus to Port land for the day included Mrs, Nina Ecker, Mrs. S. E. Wooster and daughter Helen, Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Stephens. Mrs. Harry Snyder Mrs. Julius Ktieger and Phil Marquam. Richmond Wells, all of Portland. Dr. and Mrs. McCall will stay at home.
