B A R T L E T T Attorney-at-Law and Notary Public Estacada, Those who are inclined to doubt any present-day war-time application in the writings in the Bible should read the following passage taken from the eleventh verse of the eleventh chapter of the eleventh book: “ Forasmuch as this is done of thee, and thou hast not kept my covenant and my statutes, which I have com manded thee, I will surely rend the kingdom from thee, and will give it to thy servant.” The same New York Bible stu dent who found that verse also figured that the armistice was signed at the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month of the year. * Those who have belief in the relation of numbers and their meaning, may find some importance to the many elevens. It is, at least unsual. The Portland Spectator. To the Editor: With an enrollment of 28 pu pils, Currinsville school is making good progress. The patrons and school board show a lively inter est in their school, and the child ren themselves are hustlers. The w ork of the Industrial club has made a good start with Ruth Whitehead as president, Emma Jones as vice-president and Floyd Hale as secretary.
