As to the support which will
be given R. N. Stanfield in his
candidacy for the U. S. Senator-
ship, Eastern Clackamas should
return an almost solid vote, not
only because he is a true Oregon­
ian, standing for the best inter­
ests of the state and the north­
west. but in recognition of his
services to the Cascade County
movement, which as speaker of
the house in the last legislature,
he exercised to the utmost in our
behalf.
W e hope that it can never be
said that Eastern Clackamas vot­
ers failed to show due apprecia­
tion for favors received, hut we
are not a bit ashamed if the home
voters revert to primal instincts
and work for revenge against
certain others, who materially
aided in the defeat of the home
county in this section, during the
past campaign.
