This summons is served upon you by publication, pursuant to an order made by the above entitled court, made and entered on the 15th day of January 1918, directing that the same be pub lished in the Eastern Clackamas News, once a week for six success ve weeks, and that the date of the first publica tion thereof is January 17. 1918, and the date o f the last publication is Feb ruary 28th 1918. Claude W. Devore, Justice o f the Peace District No. 14 Clackamas County, Oregon. warrant it. As to the support which will be given R. N. Stanfield in his candidacy for the U. S. Senator- ship, Eastern Clackamas should return an almost solid vote, not only because he is a true Oregon ian, standing for the best inter ests of the state and the north west. but in recognition of his services to the Cascade County movement, which as speaker of the house in the last legislature, he exercised to the utmost in our behalf. W e hope that it can never be said that Eastern Clackamas vot ers failed to show due apprecia tion for favors received, hut we are not a bit ashamed if the home voters revert to primal instincts and work for revenge against certain others, who materially aided in the defeat of the home county in this section, during the past campaign.
