Eagle Creek Note* Contributed Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm Woodle were guests at the home of the former's prents, Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Woodle, for a couple of days last week. Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Woodle took their son, Malcolm Woodle and family home in their Ford, re maining over one night with them last week. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Douglass motored to Salem last Thursday, and attended the State Fair. Miss Mary Woodle and Mrs. R. B. Gibson made the school a visit last Friday morning. Mr. and Mrs Fred Hotfmeister were State Fair visitors last Friday. Mr. and Mrs. M. C. Glover, accompanied by Thomas Withy- combe, a brother of Govern*r Withycombe and son, made a business trip up into the Dover country on Monday. Of Portland Church Will Hold All Day Service Next Lord’s day marks the close of the official year of the Estacada ('hristian church and the occasion will be celebrated by an all-day service, with a basket dinner at the noon recess. This is to be a get-to-gether ser vice and all the members are urged to be present. It will be a genuinely social occasion, no business of the church is to be transacted. The order of service for the day will be as follows: Bible- school at ten o’clock: Commun ion and preaching service at e'even. From twelve until two- tnirty will be given over for din ner and an old-fashioned social time. At two-thirty o’clock a program in the way of special music and speaking will begin. At six-thirty the Endeavor will meet, which will be followed by preaching service at seven-thirty. We extend a most cordial in vitation to any and all to bring their lunch and spend the day with us and help make this a day long to be remembered. We would like to have the public to bear in mind the fact that the evening hour of wor ship will be a half hour earlier than during the summer months.
