Cheese Factory Seems Assured The Red Circle Ely Buys Woodle Home !* + + + + + + + + + + + + + J . + Contemplate Hard Trip For a year or so past, reports have been received o f petty stealing in the Garfield district, with granaries and barns being pillaged. During the last two weeks an added outbreak o f this Ohieving has occurred, with the P. F. Standish barn being the latest sufferer, where a set o f new single harness, a saddle, a set of steelyards and other articles were stolen. A reward o f $10 for evidence which will lead to the conviction o f the thief is offered by the owner. J. A. Churchill, Supt. o f Pub lic Instruction o f Oregon spent a few hours in Estacada last week, visiting the E s t a c a d a Public Schools. Besides being well pleased with the flourishing condition o f the schools, Mr. Churchill was enthu siastic in his praise o f the play- shed, which innovation he claims is superior to any in the state. i Continued from front page subscriptions, but do not feel that they should do other than offer a fair bonus and ultimately surrender their holdings to Nhe farmer stock holders, leaving the cooperative factory entirely un der the control o f the farmers. A meeting will be held at the Hotel Adams next Monday even ing, April 2nd, at which time, fol lowing the dinner, the final or ganization o f the cheese factory will be effected. At this meeting, to which everyone is invited, will be con sidered the plans for a building, the machinery specifications and a permanent form o f organiza tion, with probably a permanent Board o f Directors elected. All parties anticipating attend ing the 35c dinner, which will precede the regular b u s i n e s s meeting, are requested to notify either Fred Beckwith or Fred Bartholomew o f Estacada, being the committee in charge. If the capacity o f the dining room is not sufficient to accomo date the crowd that will attend the business meeting, arrange ments will be made to adjourn to larger quarters. Every farmer is urged to at tend and to come prepared to list his cows and subscribe for such stock as he can afford. It is probable that at this meet ing, several offers will be made for the collection and delivery of the milk, so that this important expense can be ascertained to the fraction o f a cent. N. L. S. Lauryy o f the Hotel Estacada returned this week from a short business trip in the southern part o f the state. r m, LA WYER Abstract* j -,.mined. Corporation Law. Financial A cents.
