All who attend are requested to mas querade as ghosts, failure to do so, being punishable by a 10c fine. Each family must also bring a pumpkin pie and a Jack- o-Lantern. The evening will be spent in games, cards and danc ing and all are invited. Elsewhere in this issue is the announcement of the Halloween dance to be given by the ladies of the C. I. C. This dance will occur Saturday evening, October 30th, instead of the November date shown. McCor mick, now principal of the Gresh am schools, has announced his intention of being a candidate at the next primaries, for the posi tion of County Superintendent of Schools for Multnomah county. The crew of Road District, No. 10 of Garfield has moved the rock j crusher from near the Nicholson place onto the Dillon property. Work is being done on the George bridge road from Botkin’s east. The crusher which had been per manently installed near Hayes’ mill in Garfield District, No. 49 has been removed and Supervisor Hunt is trying to replace it with a better machine.
