“ Its A Long,

Merrily and blithely whistling
that popular air, “ Its a Long,
Long Way to Estacada,” the lit
tle band o f adventurous crusaders
who last week left to take charge
o f the drive on Clear Creek for
the Bittner Plug & Shingle Co.,
returned home about two days
later, with their hard earned
dollars jingling in their pockets
and the water still oozing from
their boots.
Everything would have gone
along swimmingly, only Clear
Creek decided to follow the pro
hibition movement and dried up
suddenly, leaving the cedar bolts
high and dry.
