By a vote rf 50 to 11, the voters
of Estacada sch jo I district decided
against constructing, at this time, a
building to bouse the domestic
science and manual training depait j
ments, suggested as likely to be add
ed to the course at the High school
The matter was brought up soon
er than expected liecauscof the bur
ning of the Estacada Pavilion,
which left the athletic department
of the school, without a floor on
which to play basketball. The
voters, however, were strongly of
the opinion that further ex]>endi-
ture, at this time, is ill advised.

Cost of Lateral Sewers

ment and figure the cost per lot is
35 cents a front foot.or $8.75 per lot
The total amount to be laid includes
about a block in the alley between
Zobrist and Broadway from Second
street, a block between Main and
Broadway and one in the alley bet
ween Main aud Currin from Second
to opposite the school house.
The total cost is $1503 55.
