An interest ing program of songs, music and speaking was given, which was fol lowed by a lap luncheon. Following the luncheon came a verse and draw ing contest, and a cherry guessing contest. Each guest was given a a small paper hatchet on which he was to draw a picture from memory of Washington, and write a verse 0:1 the subject. Also, to give the n unber of cherries which was on a tree in the parlor. The judges on the contests gave the prize picture of Washington to Miss Iva Dale fer the best vtrse and drawing, and Mrs. Day guessed the exact number of cherries, 83, on the tree and won the bonbons.
