Among the places he visited was the salughter house of Oliver Resh. The inspector went over that place with a fine-toothed comb and when mak ing hi? report rated the house at 74 an extremely high mark. Tom Swett, driver of the Maupin freight truck is as proud these days as was the new boot-owning boy, for ho is now driving a brand new two-ton Dodge truck. Bill Williams is an Inveterate reader of thrill-evoking magazines. He enjoys stories of the far north; grows emotional at the trials and tribulations of northern trappers and exhales a sigh of relief when the heroes extricate themselves from perilous positions. Bill essay ed the role of fox hunter one night recently. One of his black foxe escaped from the pen and hid in the i large enclosure. Bill hunted high i and low for reynard, finally located it and then passed a hustling hour capturing the escaper. It is now in its u ual quarters and is being closely watched in order to fore: tall any further attempts to make a get away. x St. Patrick's Day, the day when all true Irishmen throw care to the discard, don their best habiliments and parade to the music of the bag pipes, wearing the emblem of the Emerald Isle the Shamrock will soon be here. That day comes this year on Monday but in order t0 al low participants a chance to get to work Monday morning the Maupin St. Patrick's dance will be held two days ahead on Saturday, the 15th. Grease your boots, don your Sunday best, unsheath your shillaiah and hie yoursefl to that dance. There do your dancing and during the evening partake of chicken supper at which ice cream and cake will be side dishes. John McMillan has shaken off his winter's apathy, whi tled to Rover and has gone to Farghers' where he will chaperone sheep until after lambing and shearing.
