K. L. Hauser went to The Dalles Saturday from Tygh Valley where Mr. Hauser is serving on the jury. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Woodcock returned Tuesday from a week's stay in The Dalies at the home of Mrs. Woodcock's mother. Mr. Woodcock served on the grand jury. Emmit Zumwalt and family went to The Dalles Saturday and returned. L. B. Kelly wa.i in The Dalles Friday from Maupin. Ralph Chandler and family were Dalles visitors Saturday. Emmit Zumwalt went to The Dalles Monday to serve on the jury. Jim McCoy and Mrs. Laura Kennedy went with him, Mrs. Kennedy, going on to Port land after staying over night in The Dalles with friends. She will spend the week with Mrs. Fanny Hanna in the city. Percy Driver transacted busi ness in The Dalles yesterday, remaining over night with his mother. Cal Hanna and Mrs. Nora Mulvaney returned on Saturday from Gilliam county where they visited Mrs. Retha Hanna Gera han. They came by way of The Dalles where they met Wilbur Mulvany who had been to Grass Valley. ' Mrs. L. D. Kelly and Doris went to Portland Monday from Maupin. Mr. and Mrs. Jack' Fraley were in The Dalles last week from Dufur. Bill Woodcock and Al Lake went to The Dalles today. Mrs. W. H. Staats and Mrs. Geo. Gill were in The Dalles Monday. Mrs. Bettie Chastain spent last week with her parents in The Dalles. Mrs. Leone Hull Courtright was in The Dalles last week from Friend. f. o. b. The Misses Etta and Edith Kester went to Prosser, Wn., on Monday to spend the summer with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Mateney. Marion Farlow motored to The Dalles on Tuesday. Oscar Ja cokes and family accompanied him on their way to Portland. Chas. Duncan sold his sheep to John Farlow on Saturday. A man living on the Willie Stakely place was badly cut in in the face last Friday afternoon while in the woods, falling onto an axe blade. Dr. Elwood was calle to sew up the wound.
