Albert Hill spent several days in Ihe Dalles last week trom Smock taking medical treatment. Bob and Fay New were in The Dalles Saturday from Tygh Val ley. Dewey Lofton and Paul Muller went to The Dalles from Tygh Valley Saturday. Johnny Fitzpatrick transacted business in The Dalles last week from Tygh Valley. Housty Johnson made a trip to The Dalles and Portland last week attending the Rose Festival Jim Woodcock attended the Rose' Festival in Portland last week. Bill Weber was a Dalles visitor from Tygh Valley Saturday. A number of Woodman of the World from Tygh Valley attend ed the picnic and barhacue at Dufur Saturday. Several were nitiated in the lodge Saturday night. Among them were Guy Krittain, Bob New, Jim Kistner, Paul Muller, George Webb. Miles Kinney was a Dalles vis itor the latter part of the week. Mrs. Pearl Harvey, son Guy ind daughter, Laura May return- id yesterday from a visit with relatives in Hood River. Mr. and Mrs. George Ledford ;une to The Dalles from Portland Saturday spending several days with Mrs. Nancy Jones and Mr. and Mrs. Evans Parrifh. They will go to the mountains for the summer. Mrs. Emma Chastain was call ed to the Bert Knighton home F.iday by the illness f Mr. Knighton. Emmett Zumwalt took her to Tygh. Umer liriltain came uown from lone Tuesday visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Myrtle Brittain. Johnny Chastain went to Mai heur last week to his homestead. Frank Chastain and family came over from Yakima, Vv'n. Saturday. Percy Driver went to The Dal I ;s to see his son Percy Brinton junior who is still at the hospital with his mother. Owen Parker is visiting with his cousins Alva and Lewis Black erby at Wamic this week.- Mrs. Lester McCorkle and lit tle daughters are visiting rela tives in Salem and attending the commencement features at Willa mette University. J. M. Powell and family spent Sunday in Maupin with Richmond The Pine Grove Sunday School will entertain te Wapinitia Sun day School at a picnic dinner next Sunday June 24 at the Ab bott Grove near Fred Laughlins place. Be on hand and enjoy- good dinner and a fine social time Joint Sunday School will be held at the Grove. Beginning this week there will be prayer meeting and Bible study at Pine Grove every Wed nesday evening at 8 o'clock. Everybody invited. J. I. Parker and family spent Tuesday with the Sharpes.
