Tho bulletin on this state follows; Oeneral Fir logging and lum bering have shown Indication of slackening-. A few lumber mill and logging camps In the high alti tudes havs closed temporarily. Pa per mills In some localities have not bean producing to capacity, owing to shortage of WAtor In rivers for power, howevsr, this condition will soon bo remedied by full ruins. TJiero has been no great decrease In tho number of men employed In the coast district, but the Influx of workers from other parts Is gradually bringing about some unemployment. Lumbering Active EugeneLogging and lumbering operation showed little decrease In this district. A general surplus h of labor released from seasonal and summer construction work Is noticeable. On tho construction of the Natron cutoff about 3300 men were employed nil summer und forces have been reduced to about 1600 workers or less for tho win ter. Fall farm work has luisncd its peak and tho demand for help is dwindling.
