Every voter who has at heart the substantial wel
fare and progress of Eugene should go to the polls
today and vote at the special election for the pro
posal to issue $175,000 bonds to be used in refund
ing accumulated city warrants, thus effecting a,
substantial saving in interest and placing city
finances on a sound and stable basis.
Every voter who would back the Mayor and coun
cil in their efforts to get Eugene's municipal affairs
on a sound and stable basis and keep them there
should vote for the reassessment amendment,
which is in the interest of the general taxpayer.
Every voter should likewise favor the measure to
increase the penalty for assessment delinquency,
which is designed to cut down delinquencies in
just payments due.
