Prices In the local markets were all practically unchanged Monday. New corn, which has been coming in fairly heavy the past week, drop ped to 40c a dosen ears, buying prices, in quotations given Monday by local grocery stores. Other vegetables and fruits continued unchanged. More of the Gravensteins are coming in to va riate the supplies of green apples. Both the Grafensteins and early Transparent! are quoted at 4c a pound. The early Alexanders are about the only variety of peaches coming in, quoted still around $1.00 a crate, buying price. Local apricots, never very plentiful, are not in yet. The Mammoth blackberries are com ing in a little better. The Himalayas are expected to be a little more plen tiful this week, a few coming in the past week. Threshing of wheat and oats is starting in some sections this week, but the bulk of the harvest will not Ik under way until next week. Harvesting of barley is In its midst right now, especially in the sections north of Eugene. Three carloads came in from there Monday. Hay prices have dropped slightly, both oat and vetch hay being quoted at $125113 a ton. . All produce markets were unchang ed Monday, eggs, butter, butterfat, and poultry remaining at Saturday's quotations. In the bulletin from the federal state market news service given Mon day, Eugene is listed with a carload of eggs in the carlot movement from Pacific coast states for the week end ing July 20. The one carload listed went to New York.
