OPt Gov ernor Patterson was asked yesterday by a delegation of Ynmhl county cit izens to uso his influence .towards having the River Road froiu Salem to Dayton designated us a state high way. The road would connect with the West Side Pacific highway at Dnyton, and the argument presented in its fnvor was that it would shorten the distance between Salem and '.'ortltuul. Stevens Extradition Request w Granted SADIOI. Ore., Dec. 21. Gov ernor Patterson yesterday granted ex tradition on requisition from Idaho for S. Stevens, who Is wanted at Pocatt'llo on two larceny charges. Stevens was In business here as a clairvoyant when arrested. A woman claiming to be his wife has Instituted habeas corpus proceedings In his be half, and a condition of the extradition is that Stevens shall not be taken from the state until the habeas cor pus case is disposed of.
