Washburne. It will be at throe-flfteen o'clock. The party Is given annually, and In one of the distinctive eventB of the spring time. For the occasion each of the club's twenty-five members is to invite a guest. The affair is also one of the only two social events .sponsored by Shakespeare club during tho year, tho other being tho Twelfth night party given each January. The entire program for the after noon will be given in commemoration of Shakespeare and his work. Mrs. S. 1). ' The event of city-wide interest for next week, and which will be at tended by all grownups and children will be the pageant, "A Night in Paris," which is being presented un der the auspices of the Eugene post of the American Legion next Friday and Saturday night at the armory. The affair is being given as a bene fit for disabled ex-service men, of whom there are some two hundred and forty 'out of the total number of nine hundred and fifty-seven in Lano county. There has been a great need for necessities for theso men, and the pageant, given annually, Is to ai dthem. Co-operating with the legion are tho legion auxiliary, Elks lodge, Ki wanis club, Rotary club, and Lions club. Each of these organizations is to have stunts and to handle conces sions. Members of nil organizations par ticipating in the pageant are to be dressed in gaily colored costumes, the whole idea being to make the affair as nearly Parisicnne as possible.
