It has been diffi cult ludeed to select the favorite of the operas, as each is an old favorite with someone, and all four pleasing to nil in general. Dancing Tarty Given Wednesday night, a Brilliant Event For one of the winter season's most brilliant affairs, Mr. and Mrs. K. O. linmcl, Mr. nud Mrs. Frank Jenkins, Mr. and Mrs. Frederick It. Htickels entertained at a duncing par ty in liaraway hall Wednesday even ing. The hosts included in their guest list about ono hundred couples. Huggestive of Washington's birth day, flags were used along the walls, while piilms and many hued floor lumps were arrayed down the sides of the room, the orchestra being sur rounded by the greenery iu tho cen ter of the floor. For the lain supper the guests were assembled in tho latticed rooms off the dancing room. Mrs. A. F. Hupp and Mrs. Morris Slarbuck pre sided at the supper tables which were attractively arranged with red carna tions and candle down tho center. Mrs. Jim Wilkinson was hoMess for an enjoyable afternoon affair last week, complimenting Mrs. David John Jones who is leaving for Wales, the home of her childhood, for an extend ed visit. About twnty members of Helmetta club were guests of Mrs. Carrie Knight Wednesday for a covered dish luncheon at the hostess' home. A social afternoon followed the lunch eon, Mrs. Foster, Mrs. Mareklory and Mrs. Minnie Holcomb giving a musical program, and the members of the club enjoying their needlework. Mrs. Frank Nombalais entertained sixteen guests Tuesday afternoon in honor of Mrs. David John Jones who is leaving for Wales. The Nombalais home was beautifully decorated for the valentine seasou. Suggestive of the trip which Mrs. Jones is to take was the novel part of tho refresh ments as wonderfully natural indi vidual cake boats were sailing on an ocean of glass.
