She railed at the local office of the Ited Cross aud discussed administrative problems with Miss Grace Norton, secretary. The county nays almost enough money to the Oregon Tuberculosis society from health seals yearly to entitle it to a share of tho money spent in co-operation with Ited Cross chapters and county courts, Miss Howells declared. She is a graduate in social work from the University of Oregon, and has been with The Dalles since last sum mer. Through her efforts from The Dalles chapter Miss Howells obtained a public health nurse, whose salary is financed largely through the Ited Cross and funds appropriated by the luberculoBis Bocicty.
