Eddy School Bill Postponed Without House Opposition STATE HOUSE, SALEM, Ore. Feb. 10. The Eddy bill calling for a change in the course of study in high schools of the state, and specifying certain required subjects was indefi nitely postponed by the bouse this morning. An unfavorable report wss brought in by the house revision of laws committee. No opposition was voived against the report. Timber Capitalist Allowed Damages MEDFOKD, Ore., Feb. 10. In findings filed In the circuit court by Circuit Judge Walter II. Evans of Multnomah county, M. D. Olds, tim ber capitalist, and former owner of the Medford logging railroad, is allow ed f'-'SUO damages against William Von der Hellen, contractor, and Eu gene Dictz, truck driver. The damage suit grew out of the burning of the Bugle Point depot August 13, 1923. Von der Hellen used the depot as a storage place for oils and gasoline for work on the Trail-Agate section of the Crater Lake highway. Negli gence on the part of Von der Hellen and Diets was charged by Olds, who in the original complaint sued tho state highway commission, the state engineer and three other truck driv ers.
