Far West Concern Will Hold Session Mandatory Prison Sentences Favored For Dry Violators WASHINGTON. Jan. 15 A bill to make prison sentences mandatory upon conviction for violation' of the prohibit ions was reported today by the bouse judiciary committee. The 'measure was introduc d by Representative Stulker, republican. New. York. The vote approving it was II to 11. Those voting in the nega tive were Chairman Graham of the committee aud Representative Dam in irk of South Carolina and Wellcr. California, both democrats. The measure would amend the pro hibition laws to read: "Fine and imprisonment.', instead of "fine or imprisonment," in case -f conviction.
