Mar Gaa Attache Expected.
Th captain and hia 30 men got into
two boats and made for Sandy Hook.
They were sighted by a submarine
chaser at 6:35 a. m. and rescued. Four
of the men .of the crew reported that
they saw a periscope sticking about sit
feet out of the water and moving very
rapidly. The torpedo they eatimated waa
about 12 feet long.
That the Him gaa attack oft the South
Carolina coaat may be followed by other
aimilar attacks, waa the belief of navy
men today. According to reports made
to the department on the attack oa the
lighthouse, the gsa laated 30 or 40 min
utes, Ita color baa not yet been ascer
tained nor ita effect on treea and shrub
bery, but a full report on the attacks
haa been aaked by the navy department.

with 14 men from the fishing vessela
Progreaa, Starbuck and Helena May, all
aunk by a aubmarin off Georgea bank.

Th crew of th achocner Mary A.
Sennett, which waa brought to thia port,
told of the ainking of th schooners Old
Timer and Cruiaer. They declared the
crewa of these veasela were shelled when
they left their ahip and probably were
killed, nothing waa aeen of them
after th vessels sank.
The attack on the Mary A Sennett,
the Cruiaer and the Old Timer waa made
by two aubmarinea, according to the
survivor. Thia ia the first report that
mor than, one aubmarin took part in
th George bank raid.

Earl and Nettie, Reliance, Mary A. Sen
