Johnson, at the Grand Central hotel yesterday afternoon. Johnson's body was discovered 1n trunk at the Union depot, from which Wood was setm trickling:. The -trunk was opened and the body of the J man discovered. His hc-.:d had ueer.i terribly battered and he had been shot and choiked to iVrath. The expressman who totrtc the' trunk to thu depot was found, and took llie detectives to the Grand Central, .where the room occupied by the .Johnsons was broken into and showed signs of n terrible struggle. Bloofl was everywhere. The detectives then started out to loonSe'the woman and Webb, who had registered at the hotel under the name of !Powers. They wer traced to the Willamette rooming house, where a little boh of Johnson's waB found. At daylight this morning Webb and the woman rode up to the place In an aoto and wore taken Into custody.
