Every man present was heartily in favor of the pro ject, as all could' plainly see the val ue of the institution to mis com munity. . F W. During the meeting B. L. Barnett pledged one acre or vege tables and Mr. Groesbeck two acres of sweet corn. After a lengthy discussion It was moved and carried that a company be organized to operate a cannery, the capital stock to be ?2500 and the shares $5.00. Each Individual Is limited' to 20 shares. A canvass of the meeting was then ordered for takers of stock with the result that $630 was raised toward the project. Following are the names of those taking stock and the number of shares taken: R.
