DEVOTION OF FORTY HOURS AT CATHOLIC CHURCH The devotion of the Forty Hours will begin In the Catholic church on Thursday morning at 9 o'clock with solemn High Mass and close Sunday morning at 10:30. Uev. Father Cantwell. C. S. 8. R. of Portland, will conduct the devo tion, preaching each morning at 9 and each evening at 7:30. Sunday evening Father Cantwell will take for his subject, "The Church and the Bible." H. S. alumni at the armory. Litttle can be said of the prospects of the high school team this early in the season other than the following facts concerning It: There are three of last year's men out Watson, Burton and Young. Of the new men who are in close compe tition for the first five are Abshlre, who has piayed before at McMinn vllle college; Mummy and Harlow, who mado the second team here last year; Sheridan, Cook, Green, Morri son and Dustin are all fast men. Harry Stine. who Is coaching the boys, is developing a remarkably fast team. ' The alumni will have an au-star team and be pretty apt to give the boys a good scare. 1 hose wno win constitute this team will probably be Cockerllne, Watson, G. Barbour, Bean and Roome. The eame will be called promptly at 7:30 and be finished in time for either the theatre or the Company C dance afterward.
