THE EUGENE DAILY GUARD. MO.VII.1V. XOVEMIIKII i 3 v i eg MMTEESYSfEH 'Catarrh is a Wood disease which cnuses a general inflammatic0 of the Inner liniivs or mucous membranes of O- body. The diseasing of these delicate surfaces and tissues produces all the well known symptoms of the trouiile. such as ringing noises in the head and ears, tight, stuff;feeling in the nose, pains above the eyes, irritation of the throat, sometimes slight fever, and a general feeling of weakness and ill health. Even the lungs become affected by the continual passage of impure blood through them, and there is danger of consumption if the disease is allowed to remain in the system. S. S. S; cures Catarrh because it purifies the blood. It goes into' the circulation and removes every particle of the catarrhal matter, making this vita) flui4f pu(e, rich and healthy. Then the inflamejl membranes begin to heal.levery symptom disappears, the constitution is built up and health restored. S. S. S. rids the system of catarrh by attacking the trouble at its head and entirely removing the cause from the blood, thus making a perma ( netjtjaijd ,'lastlrig cure, r S. S. S. is made entirely from health-giving roots, herbs and barks, and for this reason is an especially safe and desirable medicine. Book on Catarrh and any medical advice free to all who write. In pursuance of the plan to organ ize a state debating league, Miss Stal naker will write at once to the sev eral state Institutions and endeavor to ascertain the sentiment toward a state league, and if favorable, will later set a time for a meeting, at which the colleges and universities will be represented, to permanently perfect the league. Talk of such on orgnaizutlon has been Indulged In by the stmfwyp been Indulged in on the campus by the University students. Two or three girls may enter the tryouts for the interstate teams this year, and in case a girls' team Is formed their at tention will in-obnbly be directed to forensic contests with girls teams. The opinion is generally held thai mixed teams tend toward biased de cisions, for usually the judges have a prejudice In favor of girls. Tradi tion has decreed that Oregon debat ers shall be men, and such is the rule in other colleges In the Northwest. WORLD STORY DENOUNCED AS - PURE FABRICATION icw York. Nov. 21.
