SAMPSON ARRESTED FOR
.: STEALING A REVOLVER
This afternoon a fellow giving the
name of Sampson and claiming to
be a waiter by trade and- hailing
from San Francisco, was arrested by
Sheriff Harry Bown for the theft of
a revolver. He Is In the county Jail
awalUng an examination. Sampson
stayed At the Matlock lodging house
last night. - The story he tells is that
after getting up this morning he met
a man on the street who wanted to
sell him a revolver. He says he told
the man he would take it and sent
him to the room in the Matlock house
to eet the money "under the pillow.
As the story seemed fishy and as the
owner of the revolver was found,
Sampson-was placed under arrest.
