The cause of the conflict was the smouldering antagonism between the Pan German and Jewish students. The bitter feeling culminated in today's sanguine encounter. During the trouble the balcony of the university collapsed, precipitating many combatants to the floor. The Hebrew students turnod up at the University early today, determined to keep out tho Pan-Germans. A serious fight followed their appearance. Most of the injuries were slight.
