Hayes, C. I Houston and H. J. Dic
key. The meeting wub addressed by
Attorney U. M. Travis, of Eugene, and
another meeting of the club was
called for next Monday night.

New York, Oct. 17. Indictments
charging Captain Peter Hains, Jr.,
and his brother, T. Jenkins Hains,
with murder in the first degree, were
brought In by the Queens county
grand jury at Flushing, L. I., today.
They are based upon the killing of
Wm. E. Annis at the Bayside Y'acht
Club in August.
Although T. JonipVis Hains had
been held as accessory the Indictment
charges him as well us bis blither
with being a princ'pal. The arraign
ment of the brother is set for next
Tuesday.
