To a Guard re porter this morning he stated that the men In charge of the S. P. Co's sawmills at Marcola have received orders to clean orf all the dorks of lumber, which. Mr. Arnel thinks, signifies that the company Intends to start up the mills again in me near future, ordering the docks cleared to make room for new lum ber. Large shipments of railroad ties, which have been on hand since the mills closed laat winter are being made every day. The only mill in the vicinity of Marcola that is run ning now Is that or tne unsei 1.11m ber Co.. which is operating with I full crew, but the prospects are that a number of others will resume soon. AMTBEMENTS Kolb & Dill wno appear in "Lone some Town." st the Eugene theater tonight, are firm believers In en gaging competent players to support them. Unlike most stars these clev er German dialecticians don't care to keep In the glare of the calcium from the rise of the curtain on the first act until the finale. While they are the chief fun-makers in ' Lone some Town," which Is to be pro duced with all the care and detail that It was during it slong run at the Circle Theater, New York City, at the theater tonight. They have en gaged some of the best known and highest salaried players in the musi cal comedy world, Including Maude Lambert, who for years was a Broad- day and idol and later one of the big vaudeville stars, and Billy Clifford, the cleverest delineator of the Amer ican "gentleman" who prefers walk ing to work and dirt to soap and wa ter more commonly known as the tramp. These language twisters also be lieve In costuming and staging a nro- ductlon In A. No. 1 style. Nothing Is too good for them and the r shaoelr and pretty chorus girls are arrayed in tne rinest and most becoming fin ery while the stage and electric ef fects are dazzling In the extreme. This Is one reason why they have reacneo tne top of their chosen pro fession. But when it comes to dis torting the dictionary, these dialec ticians are also on the Job and they can cause some genuine and hearty laughter by their inimitable method of talking than any pair of elong ated and sawed-off-and-hammcred-down exponents of comedy In the proreBsion. Bo if you have a fit of the blues or are looking for a chance to smooth out the wrinkles on your brow, don't fail to pay a visit to the cugene theater tonight and see how lively Kolk and Dill make "Lonesome Town" and how pretty and charming the sweet-voiced singers In the cast and chorus render the many high- ciass musical numDers with which the piece Is so plentifully sunnlieri The novel electrical effects also have a tendency to Illuminate "Lonesome town, in a fitting manner. So all in an you'll not be lonesome If you'll call on Kolb & DIM. hn in but two of the many claimants for tne Lonesome Town, Watts. A Touch of lliinuin Xnture. The nPVMt Dinilnrn .!,..
