Osburn. who conduct the Hoffman Horn todav purchased of Eli Banss the residence property on the northeast corner of ,n ,Li??th and Pea' streets and will build a fine hotel there some time In the future. The purchase price Is 115,000. This Is a splendid location for a hotel, and Mr. and Mrs. Osburn have been endeavoring to secure the lot for that purpose for the past vear and a half. The lot has a frontage of 114 feet on East Eighth street and 160 feet on Pearl. Tbey will make the hotel one of the finest on the coast, with all modern appointments, and win be one of which Eugene will be proud.
