This woman says that tick
women should not fail to try
Lydia E. Plnkham's Vegetable
Compound as she did.
Mrs. A. Gregory, of 2.'!55 Lawrence
St., Denver, CoL, writes to Airs,
lnkham :
'I was practically an invalid for sia
yean, on account of female troubles.
I underwent an operation by the
doctor's adrice, but in a few months I
was worse than before. A friend ad
Tised Lydia K. Plnkham's Vegetable
Compound and it restored me to perfect
health, such aa I have not enjoyed in
many years. Any woman suffering- aa
I did with backache, bearing-down
pains, and periodic palns.should not fail
to use Lydia E. Plnkham's Vegetable
Compound."
FACTS FOR SICK WOMEN.
For thirty years Lydia E. Pink
ham's Vegetable Compound, made
from roots and herbs, has been the
standard remedy for female ills,
and has positively cured thousands of
women who have been troubled with
displacements, inflammation, ulcera
tion, fibroid tumors, irregularities,
periodic pains, backache, that bear
fug-down feeling, flatulency, indiges
tinn.dizziness or nervous prostration.
Why don't you try it ?
Mrs. Plnkham invites all Kick
women to write her for advice.
She has guided thousands to
health. .Auurex, Lynn, Muss.

Be Over
And there will be no de

the prices on seasonable

You will, therefore, find
many real bargains in our

that will be just what you
want for early fall. We
carry the famous hand

every suit of which is cor

ILLINOIS CAMPAIGN
IS HEARING END
Chicago, 111, Aug. 6. One of the
most interesting and exciting politi
cal campaigns Illinois has seen in
years and the first to be held under
the primary system is rapidly nearing
a finish. The end will come next
Saturday, when the voters of all par
ties will express their preference for
the nominations for all State officers
from governor down, for members of
Congress, for county officials and for
members of the legislature which
will have the choosing of a United
States senator to succeed Albert J.
Hopkins.
The fight is Interesting on both the
Republican and the Democratic sides.
On the Republican side ex-Governor
Richard aYtes Is fighting bitterly to
wrest the gubernatorial nomination
from Governor Deneen, who is a can
didate for renomination, and ex-Senator
William E. Mason in the same
manner wants to capture the seat of
United States Senator Hopkins, who
neither desires nor expects to relin
quish the toga for six years to come.
A third aspirant for the seat of
Senator Hopkins Is Congressman
George E. Foss of this city. He did
not enter the race utll after the oth
ers had seemed a good start, but his
campaign has been of a whirlwind
variety that has forced both Senator
Hopkins and ex-Senator Mason to put
on full speed.

WASHINGTON- MAX
, SUClltKS AT MEDKOHI)
Medford, Or., Aug. 5. As a climax
of a spree lasting a week L. H. Bel
ser, a real estate dealer at Wenatchee,
Wash., shot himself in his room at
the Hotel Nash at 9:45 o'clock last
night, dying immediately.
The rifle part of a combination
double-barrelled shotgun and rifle
was used for the deed, which was wit
nessed by A. J. Perclval, the proprie
tor It the hotel, his son, W. E. John
son, of the Einerick restaurant, and
another man who had jusj. been en
gaged to stay and look after him
during the night. It was done so
quickly that no one could prevent it
Mr. Belser arrived in the city July
27 and engaged a room at the hotel.
He was about 40 years old, well
dressed, and appeared to have plenty
of money and .'pent it freely, most of
it around saloons. He was well-behaved,
however, and appeared to be
a gentleman.

medicine, because they are good and
do their work without making a fuss
about it." These painless purifiers
sold at W.A. Kuykendall's drug store.
