Fourteen hours were given by the credentials turn, mittee of the Republican national contention, of which Senator Fulton, of Oregon, was elected chairman without opposition, for the presenta tion of contests, but no change was mad in the temporary roil of dele gates and alternates. Charles A. Bookwalter, member of tie committee from Indiana, voiced the protest of the men classed as an-tl-Taft members of the convention. "Of the cases submitted by the 'al lies,' those involving 110 seats had merit," said Mayor Bookwalter, "but thev were railroaded out of the hall without an examination of the evi dence in their support by the commit tee.
