A. C.-Ore-Kuin f juthiill game, the second, the track meet. O. A. C. showed herself consider ably weaker at the Columbia indoor meet In Portland, but as the Oregon team has jus. had a hard trip to the Inland Umpire, the O. A. C. aggre gation has strong hopes of coming out winner. To succeed "Dad" Trine of O. A. C, Trainer Heater, formerly of Wil lamette, and an old Oregon student and athlete, was chosen last fall and is training the Agrles. All winter he has been working on his runners, his sprinters, and his weight tossers. From reports his work has been very satisfactory, the men 'having devel (ipffl tn expectation!, The feeling will be intense Friday for O. A. C, administered to the local collegians, the first football defeat last fall, Oregon ever sustained on Kincald field after it was rebuilt and also dealt but two decisive defeats in basket ball last winter. The 'Var sity men are hungering for revenge. 'and will not alone have a chance at it in the field sports, but also on Saturday in baseball. The O. A. C. baseball team Is very ati'ong, report naming It as the prem ler bunch of amateur hitters In the state. Their fielding, however, Is said to be less steady than Oregon's, and therefore it Is a question just how the results will stand Saturday night, THE BEE HIVE GROCERY lias a new and up-to-date stock of Groceries, selected from the best brands obtainable Our Coffees and Teas arc selected with great care, and our cracker list is confine J to the best the market affords. In her CHtntiRlen nf murder Mrs. Belle Gun- nesa is said to have carried on a very profitable "business," wtiicB, accord ing to the latest figures obtainable netted her ',5,000. A tabulation which follows shows how sne outain- ed sums of money from these vic tims: M. Sorenson, first husband, life In surance, S80U0. Peter Gunnes?, second nusoana, life Insurance. $4000. Charles Erdman, Newcastle, Indi ana, $5000. Ole Budsperg, lola, Wisconsin, 000. John E. Moe, Elbow Lake, Minne sota, $1500. Andrew K. Helgelin, Aberdeen. South Dakota, $2900. George Berry, Tuscola, Illinois, $1500. Henry Gerbalt, lola, Wisconsin, $1000. From fire Insurance on uunness home in Chicago. $3500. In addition to these sums Mrs. Gunness is supposed to have receiv ed $1000 each from four men whose bodies were found on the ' murder farm, and $1000 each from fifteen men with whom the woman had been corresponding. This makes a grand total of $55,900 which Mrs. uunness Is supposed to have received. The authorities have failed so far to learn what the woman did with this money.' It Is thought the $720 which she put in the bank shortly be fore her home was consumed by the flames was all the money that was left. It is likely she invested most of the money she took from her vic tims in real estate. r- ,i-iir- t i-ri,Anll r- I nirnv ""A R. E. VELTUM. Manaccr U XOTICK OK HAhK.
